Summer Challenge

Read 10 books, Get one FREE!

With the end of the school year just around the corner, most kids are looking forward to a summer of no homework  and fun in the sun.  Reading, writing and arithmatic fall far from their minds as time with friends and visits to the pool become priorities.

To keep their reading skills fresh, Borders Books is offering an incentive for kids to keep reading throughout the summer.  Simply download the form from Borders’ website, read any 10 books (may be borrowed from the library or purchased new), record them on the form and bring the completed form to any Borders Bookstore to earn a free book.

This summer, take advantage of this great offer and challenge your child to read.  Borders even provides a list of summer reading selections on their website, making it that much easier to encourage a love of reading all throughout the year.

While it’s wonderful that Borders is holding a summer reading club, always remember that your local public library has summer reading programs for children and young adults. The difference is that you don’t have to buy any books–just come in,sign up and borrow as many books as you can hold. Happy Reading.
