It was our annual pumpkin party, and this year it was better than ever!

We carved some of our biggest pumpkins yet, and afterwards we roasted marshmallows and mountain pies over a fire pit.  It was a perfect festive fall activity filled with lots of yummy fall treats to fill our hungry bellies after all of that carving.  Check out the highlights of our fun-filled day with Lola, Patrick, Uncle Brody and Aunt Tori.

Lily loved all of the big pumpkins.

Mountain Pies, ready for the fire.

Lily wasn't quite sure what to do with her marshmallow.

One of the big guys.

We had more pumpkins than people, so we got a little creative with a few.

Thank you Lola, Patrick, Uncle Brody and Aunt Tori for another fun pumpkin carving party!  This has become one of our favorite days of the year.

I have always wanted to try to do pumpkin carvings. Do you have any suggestions for the best tools to use?
Your pumpkins look great and it sounds like a fantastic celebration!

Thank you! We always buy a book or two filled with carving patterns and then everyone chooses their favorite. Most of the books now come with tools, and those seem to work well for us. We use a large knife to cut the top off, though. Good luck!
